Versatile Instrumentation Pre-amplifier

VIP20

  • Easy to use
  • Small size
  • Calibrated gain from 1 to 500
  • Battery powered
  • AD/DC coupling
  • ICP accelerometer input
  • Over voltage indication
  • 20 KHz bandwidth Anti-alias filter

A small 2 channel pre-amplifier specially designed for those situations where some signal gain is required or where a transducer output is incompatible with your instrumentation input.

It has been specifically developed as a go anywhere, no- nonsense, sensible utility which will act as an instrumentation amplifier, an anti-alias filter, an isolation unit, an accelerometer interface, a differential to single ended convertor and an overload detector. And all this, times 2! In short, a convenience tool which will save valuable time and avoid frustration when you are taking measurements whether in the Lab or out in the field.

For instance, if vibration is to be measured, simply connect an ICP accelerometer direct to the VIP which can provide the necessary interf ace and give you a calibrated gain of up to 500.

The unit is compact, measuring less than 5” x 2.5” x 1 .5”, including switches and connectors. In spite of its small size, it has self contained rechargeable batteries which will last a reliable 8 hours in normal use before requiring a recharge. Its metal case ensures freedom from external electrical noise and compact internal design is ideal for withstanding the inevitable knocks and drops which will be encountered ‘on the job’.

The VIP includes an internal constant current circuit for battery recharging and a connector into which can be plugged the separate mains battery charger which is supplied with each unit.
