The RF300 is a fully compliant, calibrated 2 metre large loop antenna
manufactured to comply with European product specific standard EN55015
section 7.2 and annex B (EN55015 is specific to luminaires).
The Calibrated frequency range of the RF300 is 9 KHz to 30 MHz and
each antenna is supplied complete with antenna factor data so that it
can be used with any EMC receiver or spectrum analyser capable of antenna
factor compensation.
The performance of the loops is matched to the 'ideal' loop curves as
shown in EN55015 fig B4 using the prescribed test set-up.
The RF300 is a complete 3 axis antenna with a switching unit to select
each loop in turn. The loops are 2 metres in diameter with the lowest
point 0.5 metres above ground and are fitted with specially designed
current transducers in fully screened housings.
The main framework is designed in wood with 25 mm diameter plastic tubing
for the loops.
When erected, a 2 metre large loop antenna is surprisingly large item
so for ease of transportation and storage, the RF300 is designed to
be collapsible down to sub units of convenient size.
When used with the EMCEngineer software supplied with the Laplace test
kits, the software will automatically compensate for the antenna characteristics
and display the EN55015 limits corrected for the 2 metre loops.
