As an amplified EM field probe for a spectrum analyzer, ScanEM-C
outperforms the passive probes. Each ScanEM-C probe has an amplifier
built-in -- no external amplifier required.
Each ScanEM-C probe covers the entire bandwidth. With the wide
frequency response and a built-in broadband amplifier you will
be able to see even the weakest emission without a bench-full
of equipment and a maze of cables.
Check the frequency responses of the ScanEM-C probes versus their
passive counterparts and compare for yourself. Traditional passive
probes have little or no output at lower frequencies (where the
most fundamental frequencies are).
ScanEM-C can pinpoint a source of emission down to a trace or
a specific component.
Regular scope probes are not only limited in bandwidth, but also
load the circuit under test and change its behavior. Has it ever
happen to you that a non-working circuit suddenly behaves well
when you connect a scope probe to it?
With ScanEM-C probes you will see the signal without contact with
the circuit and without altering signal shapes.
ScanEM-C probes have a very wide bandwidth that will make the
oscilloscope itself the limiting factor in the overall frequency
response. You won't miss elusive high-speed transients again.
ScanEM-EC as an electric field probe shows the voltage on traces.
ScanEM-HC as a magnetic field probe lets you see the AC current
on traces with 1GHz bandwidth.
Does your product mysteriously begin to work when connected
to an oscilloscope? Is your conventional scope probe hiding something
from you? Please see
